Landscapes for IonStar

March 13, 2015

This was an odd beast of a commission – landscapes in super-quick time for a website re-brand with press coverage.

The company ionStar brings together ex-City compliance professionals who no longer wish to commute and be miserable, preferring instead flexible working for a better work-life balance.

The brief was initially ‘Up-to-date City Skyline’ as The Cheesegrater building is newly completed and was missing from the existing stock shot. After a discussion about brand values etc we developed it to ‘city skylines in a slightly unexpected way or incorporating some element of the natural world or something indicating flexible working’. If you get what I mean.

I got some odd looks commando-crawling-with-camera along the sandy Thames foreshore on my stomach from the South Bank onlookers but the deer in Richmond Park, where the distance shot of Canary Wharf was shot, were very supportive.
